SUMMER knitwear is always tricky. Too colourful and it feels contrived, too sheer and it's rendered useless for a British summer. Cooperative Designs neatly sidestepped both issues today in a collection that was warrior princess meets Sixties party girl.
Woven striped dresses and jackets could believably have been picked up at a Tangier bazaar and worn to a party at Studio 54, whilst gladiator sandals and hinged wooden accessories spoke of an Amazonian queen looking for trouble.
